Kick-Start,
I read the book in one day. After receiving motivational encouragement from Tracy, I decided to commit.
Pros:
It’s been 3 days and I’ve lost 3 lbs.
I like the idea of switching up the routine every 10 days.
The meals are not hard to cook (look at my cons for the rest of the menu)
It’s ONLY 30 days!
Cons:
Cardio is VERY repetitve. I turn on different music so I can finish the 40 minutes.
1 1/2 hours to work out is long. I schedule it in. I am dripping with sweat after!
Meal plan is hard to follow. Lots of ingredients. I modify the menu by picking and choosing the meals that appeal to me.
No wine- I still have my glass of wine!
I am glad I bought it and am motivated to continue.

|Buy her DVDs, this plan is unrealistic,
I’ve had other Tracy Anderson DVDs, and think the exercises and her approach is great. This book isn’t that great.
1. Ok fine to follow her 1.5 hour a day routine. It’s alot but it I can make that kind of commitment for the hoped for outcomes…
2. But on top of that, I just spent 1 hour creating 2 out of the 4 meals for the first day. I don’t have this kind of time to create meals like this just for myself. Recipes call for things like “2 tablespoons of chive” which means I have to throw the rest of the chives away or figure out how someone else in my family will eat them…
3. There are quality issues with the DVD program. In the book, it says things like “you can start with 20 repetitions, move on to 25, when you get to 60 start weights and go back down to 40 repetitions.” THe DVD, however, simply states to do 40 repetitions.
Because on the DVD she doesn’t do the full 20, 40 or 60 repititions, I have to constantly stop the DVD so I can finish my complete set and catch up. Obviously, we are meant to memorize or follow along with the book — but since this is a DVD and we have to follow along with the cardio anyway, why not just have her run through at least a full set?
The cardio is nice and fun, but it does move fast through the sequences. Four repetitions of a move, and its off to another movement. Most of her cardio DVDs are like that, there is a steep learning curve.

|Best book that I have. It motivates me and to educates me.,
Your Perfect Weight gives you a 52 week planner for your weight loss. Alot of questions that I never thought to ask are answered in this book. It gives charts that are easy to read, examples of how to plan your food each day, and motivative ideas for when you are in the middle of a plateau and not lossing weight. It gives examples of how to change your exercise routine when you get bored, and meal plans for when you are bored of the same foods. This is definitely the best book that I have bought to motivate me and to educate me all at the same time.

This book is a must for those who not only want to lose weight but keep it off. I have had two copies, my first wore out, and I still use it all the time. I have writen notes in it, and used the guidlines.

|Good Book on the Benefits of Green Tea but…,
There has been a ton of research conducted in regards to the benefits of Green Tea. Patricia Rouner has compiled and summarized this information into a great book called Lose Weight with Green Tea. While I feel the title and back cover text is very “hypey” the information presented is clear, concise, and very informative.
One of the best pieces of information covered in the book was explaining the components of green tea that actually provides the real benefit – polyphenols and antioxidants.
Other information included was:
-The different types of tea
-The best way to prepare tea
-Which commercially available green teas have the highest antioxidants
-The benefits/harms of caffeine
-Green Tea supplements and what to look for
-How much green tea should you drink?
-How green tea combats certain diseases
The bottom line is, a person loses weight with a proper diet and exercise but green tea can slightly increase your metabolism and provide additional health benefits so drinking it is a good idea, but as can be expected, you can’t eat Cheeseburgers 3 times a day and lose weight just by drinking Green Tea.

|Newly Discovered Age Old Practices – The Green Tea Story,
From the first page of the introduction I recognized that Patricia Rouner has a gift for writing and communication. As a successful writer and publisher Patricia is well qualified to do the research for this book. And she has done it. Her style is informational. Even the technical aspects of her writing flow like a story.
Her first chapter introduces the subject of green tea and weight loss. She moves on in a natural sequence with information on the growing and processing of tea. She then provides tips on brewing green tea, the contents of green tea, and a chapter on caffeine and tea. She discusses green tea extracts as a means of getting the values of green tea, and the impact of green tea in fighting disease.
She has introduced a safe weight loss method that works. The book reveals what Asian cultures have known for centuries. Drinking green tea helps you burn fat and increase metabolism. The antioxidants in green tea help prevent heart disease, certain cancers, and many other illnesses.
Rouner has included a wealth of additional information in her appendices: Other weight loss suggestions, ideas for reuse and recycling, a resource list, and a glossary of terms.
This is a book for tea connoisseurs, dietitians, heath care givers, and dieters. It should be on the shelves in every health food store and in the pharmacy department of the chains. I found the book informational and applicable to my own nutrition, health, and diet needs.

|Lose Weight With Green: Tea A Safe Weight-Loss Method That Works,
I loved it. This book is loaded with enjoyable information on the benefits of green tea for weight loss and the many other healthy contributions green tea makes. I am not a person to do much research reading and this book made me want to find out how it ended, there was so much information and so easy to read.
