Despite what some other person’s review said, it’s worth the money considering what it costs to join and pay weekly or monthly. I was an online member and wasn’t offered the calculator for $10. Whatever. Large buttons and screen. Pocket sized. Easy to set up. Calculations are quick and easy. I am in WW maintenance program and this is a present to me for losing a ton of weight. You bet ya I’m worth it!

This is by far a VAST improvement over the 2011 model. Easy to use, don’t have to press a key multiple times before it registers, the keys are bigger, easier to see and more user-friendly. My 2011 model went in the oval file!

I got this for my wife as a Christmas gift and she really liked it for a few different reasons. For one, it has the updated program information in it and goes along those lines, so she liked that. It also is set up nice with good strong pages and sort of a spiral book set-up. One review I read called this book more of a folder, which I have to totally disagree. This thing is about 1.5 inches thick and is well made. I have no doubt this can survive a lot of cooking in the kitchen. I am not the one that does most of the cooking so I can’t comment totally on some aspects, but it was well received and seems to be the right price. I think I paid around $15 on this site.

First of all, I would not call it a “folder”. I would call it a hardcover 5-ring binder. It comes with indexed tabs, already inserted in the correct places.

I have been cooking for years, but I am enjoying reading through the kitchen basics chapter. It gives great suggestions on what equipment you actually need to have. Also some really good sounding salad dressings, as I want to get rid of bottled dressings and the junk in them.

Overall, I will be working my way through this one. Lots of pictures and good sounding healthier foods.

New Weight Watchers Program Cookbook gets an A+!!!!, January 4, 2011

A review from my wife: A must for individuals on the Weight Watcher’s program. The first chapter is called New Basics and has everything from kitchen tools and techniques to salsas and sauces. The next fifteen sections overflow with the foods and flavors we love to eat, but they have been made healthier to assist in weight loss. You don’t have to eat boring rabbit food or buy pills or powders to be successful with weight loss. Weight Watchers is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change for you and your family. Its not a temporary journey, its making changes over time for a lifetime. This cookbook with help on the journey.

I’ve been on the program over 3 months and relearning what a portion size really looks like, how to know if I’m really hungry, etc., and of course about nutrition. This book will not give you the program, you’ll have to join for that, but I highly recommend Weight Watchers as a way to make the choice to make the change in your life for a healther you.

I usually find scales very annoying and nothing to talk about as they aren’t accurate and are ugly. Well, at last. This one is really good looking but much more important, accurate and very easy to read, large numbers on a blue background. It has a leveling dot which floats in the display until you are standing balanced, so that each time, the weight is taken correctly. I haven’t programmed it yet, but you don’t have to unless you want to track your weight, otherwise it’s just a regular scale. Put in the battery, tap the surface with your foot to turn it on, wait till 00.0 displays, get on, balance and there’s your weight, get off and it turns off automatically. Very highly recommended.

If this isn’t the coolest weight scale in the universe, well… It is so refreshing to find a decorator’s choice in the weight scale department. It almost makes you feel good about what it’s going to tell you!

It is easy to program. In my home, I have 2 users. You can program up to 4 users. The target weight is easy to set. You step on the scale, weigh yourself, then user 1 and user 2 become the up-or-down pound/kilo measurement, so you click on these buttons until you get to your desired target weight. After setting your user number and target weight, you get on the scale after pressing your user number, and it tells you your current weight, how much you’ve lost since the last time you stepped on it, how much you’ve lost since you started your program, and how much more you have to go to your target.

The user manual (a flyer), is easy to read and use to set up the scale. Additionally it let’s you know how often to weigh yourself depending on whether you are trying to lose weight or maintain your current weight.

Additionally with my purchase I also receive a year of Weight Watcher magazine for free. All right!

This has been an enjoyable purchase.
